7 "Pika, pika.  Chu, pikachu."
So you were traveling with Ash, and then what?"
"Pikachu, cha."
"Team Rocket showed up!  I should've known they had something to do with it!"
You look confused.  "But even Team Rocket can't go to other worlds, can they?"
"Let's wait 'till Pikachu finishes."  He turns back to Pikachu.  "So I can assume that they were trying to capture you, right?"
"Pika."  Pikachu nods.
Then, suddenly, the Pokemon kid pauses again.  "Since you can't understand Pikachu, is it all right if Pikachu tells me everything and then I tell you what it said?"  It probably does get annoying having to translate something every time Pikachu speaks.
"Sure," you answer.
The kid turns back to Pikachu.  "So what made it so you got here?  No interruptions this time."
"Pika.  Pikachu, pikachu.  Pika, pika-chu.  Chu, pika pika.  Pikachu, pika, chu."
Then Pikachu spreads its arms wide.  "Pika!"  Then it falls down.  "Pi, pikachu!"
It goes on like this for awhile, and then Pikachu says, "Pika, pikachu," and stops.
"Hmmm..." the Pokemon kid says as he stands up.
"What?" you say.
"I'll try to tell you everything Pikachu said," he replies, "but like I said, I don't think I can do anything other than tell you what happened."
"You told me that."
"Just want to remind you."  He starts.

When Pikachu was traveling with Ash, unsurprisingly Team Rocket showed up to capture Pikachu.  It started out as a normal battle.  But then, when it seemeds like Team Rocket was going to add another loss to their tally of points, they pulled out a giant bazooka.
"We've been workin' on it for years," Meowth said, "and it's finally time to test it out!"
Ash frowned.  "You aren't going to blast us!"  He threw a pokeball.  "Bulbasaur, I choose you!"
Misty and Brock also threw pokeballs.
"Onix, go!"
"Starmy, go!"  But instead of Starmy, Psyduck pops out.  "Psyduck!  You're not Starmy!"
"Psy?"
Misty sighed.
"Bulbasaur, razor leaf, now!"
"Onix, bind that thing!  Try to stop them from shooting it!"
But James threw out his pokemon.  "Wheezing, smog attack!"
It surrounded everyone, making it impossible to see any escape routes, or the mysterious bazooka.  Misty accidentally dropped Togepi, but it wasn't hurt and it kept in sight.
Ash, amid coughs, called, "Bulbasaur, return!" and called back his pokemon.
"Onix, return!" as Brock called back his.
Misty shouted, "Psyduck, return!" but Psyduck was running around frantically, missing all attempts to return to its pokeball.  "Psyduck!!  Stop running around!"
Which unfortunately was as useful as shouting to a rock.
Team Rocket lifted up their bazooka.
"Now's the time to fire!" said Meowth.  They pressed the red button...
and nothing happened.  They pressed it again...
and silence.  This happened several times more.
"Ha!" Ash smirked in triumph as Misty picked Togepi back up.  I should've known anything Team Rocket makes is sure to not work!
Team Rocket looked pitifully at their now-humiliated bazooka.
"I can't believe this won't work after the years we've spent on it!" James cried, kicking the weapon.  Suddenly, it shivered, and then seemed to prepare to shoot out a blast.
"Wha-what happened?!" James shrieked in horror.
"Oh!" Meowth answered, clearly as scared as James.
"What?" Jessie said, equally as horrified as Meowth.
"I remember that if our weapon is held back in some way, it charges up for a giant attack!"
"And how many times did you 'charge it up'?" Misty said, a bit vexed as well as exasperated.
"About ten times!!" James replied fearfully.
"Let's get outta here before it blasts!" Brock exclaimed.
Togepi freaked, and dropped out of Misty's hands.
"Togepi!" Misty yelled as she tried to pick it back up.
But, it shot just then, right at the ground below them.  A giant light spread out before them...
