Murasaki is in 7th grade at the time Sakura & co. meet her in class, but she is actually 6th grade age since she skipped grades when she attended school in another country.  Murasaki has one older brother named Ryuuki in her same middle school in 9th grade.  Murasaki's last name means "bell tree", and her first name means "violet".
